Green Summit - Zero Waste, April 16, 2007 at the IVY Substation in Culver City.
“Hacking Democracy” – The film will begin at 5:30 pm, Tuesday April 17, 2007. There will not be panel. Carol purchased film, received ok by HBO to show the film and had agreed previously to host conversation at the event. Mindy will also help to facilitate discussion. Kevin to process set-up request. Kevin will also post a sign with an arrow to be placed at the entrance of the building so guests know what room the movie is being shown in.
“Why We Fight” - The film will begin at 5 pm, Tuesday, May 8th. Carl Boggs will head up the panel. He has class at 7 pm so the film must begin at 5 pm.
3. Kerry vs. Gingrich on Climate Change: Can SAN show this? Play it all Day? C-span.org currently available. Kevin will look into it.
4. Blog: M. Cassadine sent out invitations. Discussions held about who can post? Who can read? Who decides what can be posted? Agreed to post blog site to students – FC, box – adding that SAN will monitor the site adding the following statement “SAN reserves the right to delete and monitor entries”.
5. Slogans: Want something dynamic? Should we keep changing? Or brand? Discussion about logo and design. It was agreed and decided that the front will include the Student Action Network Boot Camp for the Revolution, and the back will include AULA logo with website. It was also agreed and decided to purchase black shirts with red lettering. SAN agreed and decided to let Joanna provide input on the shirt design to achieve an overall better design. T-shirts to be ordered and printed at American Apparel. The cost of the shirts will be $15 each. A minimum order is required. Kevin, Donald, Connie, Carol all ordered shirts. Andrea to facilitate all orders and money transactions.
